Bless the Lord for this is a New Year filled with expectancy! Welcome to today's point of Inspiration! We are at the dawn of a new year - a year which is being called the Year of New beginnings. I don't know about you, but just knowing the number 8 represents New beginnings fills me with hope and anticipation. I'm looking forward to experiencing some "NEW Beginnings." New meaning, fresh, unimpaired, pure. Beginnings meaning, origin of, just created, or formed. When I think of new beginnings I think of how our God gave us another chance at eternal life, after our ancestors Adam and Eve forfeited this privilege by disobeying God. Yet our Wonderful Father decided to give us a second chance, a new beginning by sending his Son to die. So we might live just by believing and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
To think that after all he has already done for us, he is yet allowing us to enter into a new year, to right the wrongs either done to us by ourselves or by others. To allow us to start fresh, with a clean slate. The old things cast into the lake of forgetfulness, to allow us to start over again, and to allow us to be molded into new creatures. God is not like man he does not hold our past against us. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Cor. 5:17 Let us take advantage of the promise of a year filled with newness of heart, mind and action.
I implore you brothers and sisters to prove God at his Word in this year of New beginnings. Walk into this New Year believing to be changed, rearranged and stronger than the years before. Dance into this New Year knowing that you are dancing away your sorrow of many years past. Come into this new year praising God for the New Beginning that he has afforded you and watch and see if this year will not bring forth a "new harvest" that you have never reaped before - planted by your faith in our God. May you and your family experience the promises that our Father has given to us in this New Year 2008.
Love,
Sis Stef and family
