The Word of God states in Ezekiel  Chapter 11:19, "And I will give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within you and I will take the stony heart out of flesh and will give them a heart of flesh."  Praise God, this is what he said he would do for Israel.  Take their stony heart, which sought after abominations, and  detestable things and make it as flesh and put a new spirit in them.   So that they - that we could walk in his statutes and keep his ordinances and do the will of him that has called us.  A heart that does not seek it's own but conforms to Jesus'.  A heart that has no envy, jealousy, hatred, malice or unforgivness.  A heart that does not harbor lust, immoral or perverted thoughts or fantasies. A heart that is not profaned, or prideful.   God does not look on the appearance of man, but he searches our hearts.  When he searches mine, I pray that he finds all that I ever hope to be in Jesus.  I know that is the prayer of many of you as well.

God wants us to trade in old stony hearts for hearts of flesh; One that is filled with  hope, joy and forgiveness and love for our brother and sisters.  One that is pure, holy, and righteous; One that seeks to do the will of God and not of this world.  A new heart and a new spirit he says that he will give us  IF we take away all the detestable things and abominations.   Let us do our reasonable service unto the Lord and offer our bodies as a holy and pleasing sacrifice unto God in all of our ways.  Casting off the old ways and putting on the new ways - God's ways.  He desires to change us and the change begins first in our hearts.
