Yes it is good to sing praises unto the Lord and sing His praises daily.  We are to lift our voices unto the Lord and unto each other . Ephesians 5:19 -20 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord. 20 giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Psalms tells us to enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. 

The Lord implores us, commands us to give him praise - not only praise, but to praise him in song.  We serve a God that wants to be serenaded by us with our song, he wants to be our inspiration for chords and melody, our focus, the topic of our praise.   He delights in our praise.  Let us serve him in gladness and lift our voices unto a loving, faithful, and Holy God.  Let us sing a new song unto our God that moves mightily in our situations.   Let us sing of his love, his character, his grace and mercy.  Let us sing in thanksgiving and with much gratitude for he is worthy of our praise.  He is the lifter of our head and he is the reason for why we sing.
